New DS!!! Called DSi !

Today, the second of October 2008 Nintendo held a press conference, several weeks ago rumours started about a new DS , and today it showed to be true!

The DSi has a couple of advantages of the DS lite;

- Internet browser
- BOTH SCREENS ARE TOUCHSCREENS!
- 2 Camera's
- Better speakers
- Thinner
- A DS shop where you get buy games for points, like the Wii shop channel
- Support of SD cards, for more memory, which is needed for the games
- Swap pictures from your DS to your Wii ( Photo Channel)


Launch on 1 November 2008 in Japan, rest of the world a year later or so.


I pretty much like the DSi , two touch screens = twice as fun!
Im thinking of importing one from Japan when they are released, they are pretty cheap around 130 euro's

Wow, that is seriously shocking. I never new Nintendo would release another DS this early. It looks really amazing with 2 touch screens and the camera. Also like the online compatability. Man I wonder when it's released.

Pretty much looks like the GameBoy camera, which was released in 1998.
The GameBoy camera was a camera editing ''game'' for the original GameBoy, which only could took black and white pictures.

Yea, i knew about the release of the DSi on the Nintendo Europe website, possibly b4 u posted this topic, crazyt. Bit i woudve never in my life guessed it wud BE be having 2 touchscreens and internet compatablility!! That is so fricking awesome, coz i think the only other portable, well-known thing that has been able to access the internet was the iPhone. So if Nintendo are able to beat Sony and Microsoft's other portables with that kind of technology they definitely own the market.

Ok, since the DSI is already released in Japan at the time there is a lot more information available about it. It only has ONE touchscreen, instead of two but the screen is still larger and the DS has a lot more features such as the two added camera's with editing software and its possible to download games onto your DS with the DS shop, simular to the Shop Channel on your Wii.

Im trying to import one at the moment, no succes yet though
